I didn’t quite reach the 50 mile target this week, but I came close with 46.2 miles cycled over two outings with my longest cycle to date. Overall I’m still on target for the 200 mile target with a total of 142.7 miles cycled with a week and a half left to go.

The main feat of this week was my first cycle over 30 miles. On Saturday I managed 30 miles in 2 hours and 30 minutes with only 15 minutes of breaks at an average speed of 12 mph. It wasn’t much of a hilly route, but it’s still progress since it proves I can cope with longer distances on the bike.

Looking forward then, I will be aiming for 30 miles cycles over two outings since I’m away over the weekend in Aberystwyth. This would then leave me only 30 miles to cycle to reach my target, which can be easily achieved.
