The there runs were all different again this week as this seems to be the transition stage of the Couch To 5k plan to be ready for running 5k three times a week. The there runs were:
Run one: five minutes of running, three minutes of walking, eight minutes of running, three minutes of walking and five minutes of running.
Run two: 10 minutes of running, three minutes of walking and 10 minutes of running.
Run three: 25 minutes of running with no walking.
It’s easy to tell that at this stage stamina is still being developed as there is only one long non-stop run during the week. The first interval based runs are there to build up to the longer run at the end of the week.
Pleased with the progress made this week and felt quite comfortable running for most of the 25 minutes! Next week is where things start getting serious with no more breaks in any of the runs.
